First Annual MPS Fantasy Hockey Game & Gala

On May 1, more than 100 people turned out to support the First Annual MPS Fantasy Hockey Game & Gala fundraiser for the MPS Society. Shire was a proud sponsor of the day’s events, which were organized by MPS parents in Minnesota. Festivities were kicked off with a fantasy hockey game between guests and more than a dozen NHL alumni players. The game was followed by a formal cocktail and dinner reception to honor people living with MPS and ML disorders and to educate the community on the resources and support available through the MPS Society. Throughout the evening, attendees bid on a number of silent auction items—including gift certificates, jewelry and autographed sports memorabilia—donated by local businesses. After dinner, guests danced the night away to a lively performance from local music celebrities, the Johnny Owen Band. Congratulations to the Madsen family and MPS Society on this fun and successful event!
